I have a professional photographer, why do I need a videographer? You and your family have likely spent a significant amount of time investing in your wedding. What better way to remember all of your efforts and hard work than to capture it on video? Video is a powerful medium that will allow you to see so many different perspectives of your wedding and reception. Video allows you to hear, as well as to see, the many facets of your wedding day; the way you walked down the aisle in your gown, a deep inhalation, a surrendering expiration, a glancing gaze, a vibrant smile, heartfelt vows expressed with commitment and pride, tears of joy falling from your face as the crowd cheers when you are pronounced husband and wife. These are just a few of the emotions that only video will be able to tap vividly into. Wouldn't it be great to have seen your parent's wedding? How about your grandparent's wedding? Think about transporting yourself back to their time, seeing their fashions and styles, hearing the music of their era that was special to them. Imagine being able to share your unique story for generations to come. Wouldn't you want your children or grandchildren to be blessed with such a wonderful historical family document? Many brides have told me that they were so glad they captured their wedding on video because everything went by so fast and that they missed so much. They also comment on how much they actually forgot until seeing their video for the first time. They note that through watching their video, they were able to see what their wedding looked like outside of what they experienced, from the perspective of their friends and loved ones. Video is by far the closest thing to reliving your much anticipated wedding day. I strongly believe capturing your wedding on video is the perfect way to reminisce all of your wonderful memories. After all is said and done, memories will be the only thing you have left when the celebration is over. I have also talked to several brides who have chosen not to videotape their wedding day, either because they were not educated in its importance, they did not plan appropriately, or because they didn't feel it was within their budget. The unfortunate thing is that they all REGRET not having their treasured day captured. It often becomes a sore subject because there isn't anything they can do about it now; their wedding has come...and it has gone. |
